La Française strengthens its Iberian presence with the appointment of Gonzalo THOMÉ ROMEO as Senior Sales Manager

La Française Finance Services (LFFS), the cross-asset distribution platform of La Française (the asset management division of Crédit Mutuel Alliance Fédérale), is pleased to announce the appointment of Gonzalo THOMÉ ROMEO as Senior Sales Manager - Iberia, effective 17 August 2026. In this role, Gonzalo reports directly to Reyes GARCIA-REOL, Country Head - Iberia.


Reyes GARCIA-REOL, stated: “Gonzalo brings a combination of portfolio management expertise, extensive sales experience and a deep understanding of the Iberian institutional and wholesale markets, which are central to our development strategy in Spain. His senior profile and ability to engage with clients at both a strategic and technical level will be instrumental to our continued development in the region. Gonzalo will be a real asset to our team.”

 

Professional background

Gonzalo THOMÉ ROMEO, CAd has 18 years of experience in the asset management industry. He began his career in finance in 2007 as Portfolio Manager and Investment Analyst at Altex Partners, before joining Bank Sabadell in 2012 as multi-manager Portfolio Manager. In 2015, he joined Inversis Bank initially as Head of Fixed Income and Absolute Return Fund Analysis and Deputy Sales Director. He subsequently joined Liontrust Asset Management in 2019 as Sales Director for Institutional and Wholesale clients across Iberia and Latin America, before most recently serving as Sales Associate Director, Institutional & Wholesale, Iberia at Fidelity International.

Gonzalo THOMÉ ROMEO holds an MBA from IE Business School and a degree in Agricultural Engineering from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. He is a Certified Advisor.
