SAI/SRI philosophy

Equities

La Française offers a range of equity funds that are all managed according to an SAI (Strategically Aware Investing) approach. This range encompasses a variety of regions and themes.

SAI is an innovative stock picking method that combines financial criteria and strategic research. We expand the conventional ESG (environmental, social and governance) criteria to include the capacity for innovation and responsiveness of companies, and we analyse mega-trends to put the companies’ strategies into context. Then, we cross-analyse this data with the financial criteria.

  • High conviction management

    Active, high-conviction management

  • Innovation

    an innovative and integrated approach

  • Research

Research focused on strategic and long-term factors

Securities

Because it is entirely worthwhile to include responsible investment criteria in the selection of securities and their issuers, La Française incorporates its SAI (Strategically Aware Investing) strategy into its bond investment process.

The SAI strategy is now being applied to one credit fund, and will gradually be rolled out across other funds from the bond range. SAI is an innovative stock picking method that combines financial criteria and strategic research. We expand the conventional ESG (environmental, social and governance) criteria to include the capacity for innovation and responsiveness of companies, and we analyse mega-trends to put the issuers’ strategies into context. Then, we cross-analyse this data with the financial criteria.

  • Adapted management

SAI management tailored to an asymmetric credit risk profile

  • Innovative approach

An innovative, integrated approach applied throughout the entire investment process

  • Long term

research focused on strategic, long-term factors that offer greater risk visibility

Real Estate

The development and application of Strategically Aware Investing (SAI) in Real Estate takes into account the capacity of buildings to adapt and respond to innovation.

Socially Responsible Investing (SRI) is central to real estate investment due its interaction with the environment (reducing carbon footprints, biodiversity, mobility, etc.), society (comfort, well-being, services, etc.) and governance (transparency, ethical procurement policy, tenant relations, etc.).

La Française has developed a pioneering approach to corporate real estate and has extended its assessment method to all of its existing and future assets.

Almost 80 factors are taken into account in the environmental and social assessment of assets held outright, using an analytical framework developed internally.

An innovative investment philosophy to anticipate market changes.

  • Taking stock

    Global warming + innovation
    =
new modes of production (work) and consumption (use)

  • Reflecting

Energy transition legislation for green growth + the development of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) = ESG criteria are SRI factors

  • Adaptating

    SAI
    =
Taking into account the capacity of buildings to adapt and respond to innovation through ESG analysis
